...other than I like drawing Mek in KoolMoves.
WALLS OF TEXT AHEAD
So yeah, I tweaked the way she looks (green eyes now, instead of purple, to make her look less like Tak) and straight up gave her an eye-fixy device on the one eye that doesn't work. With the eye-fixy device she can make out shapes and color, light and dark, but everything is quite fuzzy. Without it she can't see out of that eye at all. Aaaaand I decided to put her in her labcoat at all times, so everyone knows she's a scientist.
Mek is average height for an Irken and is smart in a horrible, madness-making sort of way, although I think she's somewhat more sane than Zim. Except she thinks he's a really good invader so she's probably not too bright in the common sense way. She copies his methods of information gathering (ie, going to skool), but instead ends up in Gaz's class when she fails to pass an aptitude test. Her robot MOOT is disguised as a frightening purple rabbit with one eye, but when he goes to skool with her he turns himself into a thermos. Like a transformer but very small.
Mek was a scientist on a planet used entirely for nuclear experimentation (radiation is dangerous, see), called Nerioze. When she caused a massive accident during the first great assigning, she lost the sight in her right eyeball, and the tallest banished her to a cold and desolate planet called Clobeta. She discovered a deserted secret hideout on Clobeta that once belonged to an Irken invader. Inside was the invader's old SIR-like robot called a very broken MOOT unit (lol zappa) and a spaceship that barely works called the Twerk Runner. When she tries to escape with MOOT and the Twerk Runner she's arrested again and sentenced to forty years working on the planet Drivethruia, a planet so coated in fast food restaurants that you can only use the drive-thru. Mek does a horrible job because she wasn't able to see very well, so her employers give her a fixy thing to put over her eye so she can see better. Later she is caught trying to make sentient life out of fast food meat and a lot of soda. Her boss gets real mad at her and fires Mek, the Twerk, and MOOT out of the restaurant's soda cannon. He was aiming at Earth's moon. While she's flying rapidly away from Drivethruia she spots Zim's ship heading towards Earth, and then while she's still flying along towards the moon she sees some planet jackers, Tak's ship, and the massive heading the same direction. She uses the last of the ship's fuel to take the Twerk runner out of the moon's pull and towards Earth to see what all the fuss is about. The Twerk is badly mangled by the time she lands (very roughly, making a huge crater), so she has no choice but to stay on Earth and try to fix her ship. In the meantime she uses the supplies that belonged to the Twerk's original owner, and lives out her time on Earth pretending to be an invader. In her human disguise she pretends to be from the Soviet Union.
